Vanavond is er nog een tribute voor David. De 3 Fluffy Suicide Bunnies zullen vanavond samen met de cast van Easylaghs in het engels gaan strijden om de Maestro (improvisatievorm waarbij de beste overblijft). David heeft op het international improvisation festival 2 jaar geleden de sterren van de hemel gespeeld en toendertijd de Maestro gewonnen. De spelers zijn van heel hoog niveau, dus dat moet wel een goede avond worden. Dus als je nog niets te doen hebt op deze regenachtige avond, kom naar CREA. Hoe wordt je bloed- en stamceldonor?

Wat gebeurt er als ik mij heb aangemeld als stamceldonor?
Nadat u een verklaring hebt ondertekend waarin u zich bereid verklaart stamceldonor te willen worden, worden enkele buisjes bloed bij u afgenomen voor de bepaling van uw HLA-bloedgroepen. Onder een codenummer worden, via de registratie door de Nederlandse Stichting Europdonor, uw gegevens opgenomen in het wereldwijde bestand en dan is het afwachten of men ooit stamceldonor zal worden voor een patiënt ergens in de wereld. De kans is namelijk ook één uit duizenden, dat de HLA-typering van een patiënt bij de uwe past. Natuurlijk kunt u gewoon op de gebruikelijke manier doorgaan met het geven van bloed of plasma.
Kortom, je hoeft slechts een paar buisjes te geven (kan ook 's avonds in 1 van de centra) en mocht je ooit iemands leven kunnen redden, dan wordt er contact met je opgenomen. De echte donatie kan tegenwoordig ook met beinvloeding van medicijnen, dan is narcose niet meer nodig. En met narcose ben je dan uiteindelijk hooguit een dag in het ziekenhuis. Dat valt dus best mee.
